Mary Amoah is a certified teacher with over 20 years of experience and the founder of Klicks Africa Foundation, a support and vocational center for children and young adults with autism and intellectual disabilities, and a passionate advocate for inclusion in Ghana.
Mrs Mary Amoah Kuffour
Mary Amoah is a certified teacher with the Ghana Education Service with over 20 years of teaching experience and more than 16 years of working with children with communication disabilities. She is also a mother of a child with autism, Nana Yaa, who is 22 years old. Her personal experience has deeply shaped her commitment to advocating for children and young adults with special needs.
She is a graduate of the School of Performing Arts at the University of Ghana and Berekum Teacher Training College. Mary is the founder of Klicks Africa Foundation, a support and vocational center dedicated to helping children and young adults with autism and intellectual disabilities develop skills and live meaningful lives.
Mary currently serves as the President of Inclusion Ghana and is a member of Inclusion International. She is also a board member of the Ghana Federation for Disability Organizations and previously served on the board of the Girls Education Initiative of Ghana. Over the years, she has strengthened her expertise by taking several courses in autism and special needs abroad and now works as an early interventionist.
A passionate advocate, Mary has been at the forefront of many awareness campaigns and educational programs across television, radio, and community platforms in Ghana. Through her work and lived experience, she continues to support parents of children with special needs and strongly advocates for the rights and inclusion of intellectually disabled children in society.
